BETHESDA, MD 22 January 2010—Nipro Medical Corporation on January 21 announced a recall of all GlucoPro insulin syringes because the needles may separate from the devices during use, according to a notice circulated today by FDA.
The company said the recall does not involve the GlucoPro-brand syringe made specifically for use with the Amigo insulin pump.
Consumers who have GlucoPro syringes with the product code JD+01U3008-5C, JD+01U3013-5C, JD+01U3108-5C , JD+03U3008-5C, JD+03U3013-5C, JD+03U3108-5C, JD+05U3008-5C, JD+05U3013-5C, or JD+05U3108-5C should stop using them and return the syringes to the purchase site for reimbursement.
